The Fifth Caspian Summit in Kazakhstan could significantly boost cooperation between the Caspian nations, according to the Caucasus Geopolitical Club.

“some of the arrangements discussed at the forum were proposed in the past but never implemented,” says a recent article.

According to the author, Andrey Areshev, the summit in Aktau could push forward negotiations on pressing issues.

“there is hope that the settlement of the status of the caspian sea could further multilateral collaboration between the coastal states not just on paper but in action, too”, he said.
